Overall Grade: Good

Comment: This is a very uncommon ruby in several ways: Firstly, it has an uncommon two-sided plateau shape (See the backside image) Though this causes the gem to loose luster towards the center, it does not cause any window. Secondly, this ruby comes with a rare "free of inclusions" except a trapiche which in turn is only visible under the lens and only because of the flattened back. Thirdly, it is round and last but not least it is pure red. As uncommon as you may ask for, unheated round red-red ruby without any visible secondary hue. With 6mm this is a rare opportunity for a bargain ruby with the looks of a 2.5+ carat gem. Big enough even for a gents ring and the back-shape wont matter once set, nor be visible. If you are collecting untreated gems, the trapiche structure will be something to treasure as well.
